Having started yoga feeling like she and her body didn’t fit in, she has since came to the conclusion that the most empowering act of self-care is to take as much unapologetic space as is needed both on the mat and in life. She is passionate in her pursuits to make yoga accessible for all bodies. This workshop is designed to empower and enhance your relationship with your body and mind through the tools of yoga, Health at Every Size® (HAES) and Intuitive Eating. Students will learn to explore their bodies through Hatha yoga, collaborative exercises, journaling, open dialogue and nature walks. This practice ranges from easy to intermediate, focusing on breath, alignment, anatomy, freedom of movement, and meditation, designed to bring yoga to those who feel that the traditional class setting is not providing the support and encouragement to feel successful in yoga and is open to any student wishing to enjoy the benefits of yoga with others of a similar shape or size no matter their experience.

Yoga for Bigger Bodies retreat 2015

June 12th-14th 2015

Join Yoga for Bigger Bodies teacher Julie Westlin-Naigus for a restorative, nurturing, and soul enriching retreat at Coastal Mountain Sport Haus. Come nourish your body, mind and spirit and invite changes that will continue to unfold once you return home!

This is an experiential and educational retreat that emphasizes self-care, introspection, gentle yoga classes, soul searching, connection, and nurturing your body and mind. There will be opportunities to relax, soak, eat great food, hike, walk, bike, practice yoga and enjoy time with a supportive and like minded community of people.

Yoga for Bigger Bodies retreat has no weight requirement and all levels are welcome.

Pricing options include 2 nights at Coastal Mountain Sport Haus, all meals, yoga classes and access to onsite salt water soaking pool.

Meals include Friday night dinner; Saturday, breakfast, lunch and dinner; Sunday a light breakfast and Brunch. All meals are prepared fresh on site, using local, fresh ingredients. Beverages include some great espresso coffee and various tea offerings at no additional charge.
